About Leslie Lajeunesse, PMHNP

Hi, I’m Leslie Lajeunesse, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I’ve been working in mental healthcare for over 10 years and am passionate about helping people feel more grounded, focused, and supported in their daily lives. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, and reading.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

I hold a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health from the University of Alaska and am board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). I also have a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and previously worked as a school psychologist, giving me a multidisciplinary foundation in psychological assessment and psychiatric care across developmental stages.

I am certified in ADHD (ADHD-CCSP) and Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C), which allows me to offer specialized support for individuals navigating ADHD and mental health concerns during pregnancy and postpartum. My clinical experience includes work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, and life transitions. I use evidence-based prescribing practices and a collaborative, whole-person approach, integrating mental health, wellness, and functional goals into care.

COUNSELING PERSPECTIVE

My approach to care is thoughtful, collaborative, and person-centered. When you sit with me, you can expect a calm, respectful, and nonjudgmental space. I take time to understand your full story, not just your symptoms, and partner with you to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your goals, values, and lifestyle.

I believe psychiatric care works best when it’s built on trust, shared decision-making, and open communication. Treatment should feel like something we co-create, not something that happens to you.
