Steady Compassion in Complexity: Meet Jennifer “Jen” Dotur, MS

Jen walks alongside people in some of the hardest places. When loss doesn’t settle, relationships feel fracturing, or the body and mind carry burdens too heavy to unpack alone, Jen brings deep experience and a collaborative heart to her work with individuals, couples, and neurodivergent clients.

Though she is currently a pre‑licensed clinical mental health counselor, Jen draws on over 20 years in the mental health field. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor’s in Communication Psychology from Oklahoma State University. Her approach is wide and integrative, using modalities such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, ACT, experiential and somatic therapies, and when aligned, Christian counseling.

Clients often describe Jen as warm, curious, and deeply attuned to complexity. She creates a grounded, collaborative space where people feel genuinely met in their full experience, whether navigating anxiety, grief, relational pain, identity shifts, or neurodivergence.

Outside the therapy room, Jen is a parent and educator, bringing her values into homeschool and charter school communities. She loves creative expression and collects meaningful quotes (one of her favorites: “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” — Rumi).

If you’ve been feeling fractured, stuck, or unsure how to trust in the possibility of healing, Jen may be the clinician who walks with you neither ahead of you nor behind you, but beside you.
