Rooted in Compassion: Meet Erika McGough, LPC
Erika has been working in mental health since 2016, supporting clients across the lifespan, from children and teens to adults navigating major life transitions. Her deepest passion is maternal mental health, where she walks alongside women facing anxiety, depression, identity shifts, and relationship stress during and after pregnancy.
Motherhood can be both beautiful and completely overwhelming. Erika honors that complexity. She supports moms through postpartum challenges, early parenting stress, and the quiet burnout that often comes from always putting yourself last.
Clients describe Erika as calming, nonjudgmental, and easy to talk to. Her approach is person-centered and strength-based, blending talk therapy with Brainspotting, CBT, DBT, and attachment-informed care. Whether you're processing birth trauma or trying to reconnect with yourself in the chaos of early motherhood, Erika offers a space where you do not have to pretend.
Outside of therapy, Erika finds joy in her backyard homestead, exploring the outdoors in every season, and capturing Alaska's beauty through painting and photography. Her motto? No bad weather, only bad clothes.
If you have been feeling stretched thin or invisible, Erika is here to help you feel seen again.
