Meet Haidyn Simmons, MS

Supporting teens, young adults, and families through life’s transitions.

Since joining Mat-Su Mental Health in 2022, Haidyn Simmons has been helping clients navigate change, identity questions, and periods of stress with steady, compassionate support.

Originally from Louisiana, Haidyn moved to Alaska drawn by its landscape, pace, and sense of community. In her work, she offers the same calm presence she appreciates in her surroundings. Her approach is integrative and person-centered, drawing from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and psychoeducation to fit each client’s individual needs.

Clients often describe Haidyn as patient and thoughtful. They value how she helps them slow down, notice patterns, and find language for what they are feeling. Her sessions create space to understand what is happening internally and to take realistic, meaningful steps forward.

Haidyn works with teens, young adults, and families facing anxiety, identity changes, relational stress, or trauma recovery. She aims to provide a supportive, practical environment where growth can take shape at a comfortable pace.

Outside of work, Haidyn enjoys reading, exploring local trails, spending time with her pets, and connecting with friends over coffee.

If you are looking for a therapist who brings steadiness, curiosity, and care to the process of healing, Haidyn is accepting new clients in Wasilla.
